onlyemma's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Worthy of praise. Last night I was so bored, I had a shower in order entertain myself. I can't really believe that a shower is as entertaining as it gets. I started reading a new book at midnight though and couldn't put it down so I just read it all and went to sleep at 5.30 this morning. I feel a bit like I should get a medal or at least a certificate for reading a whole book in one go, but I don't think anyone else cares as much as me. Maybe I'll take a photo of myself, looking chuffed, pointing at the book I read. Today is the day of the Media Ball. I'm looking forward to it, but am having the superficial worry pangs in my stomach that someone will have the same dress as me (and she'll be taller and slimmer). I was going to get up at 9am to start getting ready, but because of my reading marathon, I've only just woken up. Yeah, you'd think I was lazy if you didn't know that five and a half hours of my time last night was spent with my eyeballs skimming the Times New Roman of Never Change by Elizabeth Berg. I hope I don't get bags under my eyes. Did you know that hummingbirds can fly backwards? And their wings beat 100 times a second? Yep. It was in my book.
