onlyemma's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My day at Huddersfield and all the rest... The Gareth Gates concert was really good. He saw out light-up sign. yay! Eve told me that she could see it from across the arena and it was on the big screen aswell. She said she could see me dancing too. Oh dear..well at least the sign looked good. Yesterday we went to Huddersfield to look round the university. It was a pretty good day except it rained a lot. We met up with Chris and Graeme at lunch and they said that our group had to meet up at McDonalds. So we walked for about an hour and a half in the wind, rain and sleet, only to find that when we got there, we'd walked in a circle and it was just across the road from where we'd been standing when we set off. Typical. Surprisingly, everyone from our group had gone (with us being 2 hours late and all), but I had a Sprite and Bec had a burger. Chris and Graeme ate McFlurry's and said that it was a 'man thing' to eat ice cream on a freezing cold day. After realising I was already 15 minutes late to the talk I was supposed to go to, we decided to leisurely amble round the shops until it was time to go. We found our way back to the mini bus at 3 o clock and because there had been an accident on a main road, it took 4 hours to get home. It wasn't at all bad though, I did play a nice game of 'eye spy' with Bec and Hayley. Then Hayley fell asleep with her head against the window and her cheek was wobbling to the beat of the music. Mr Davis said he'd drop us all off at our houses because we were so late. When we got to the top of our street, I turned to everyone in the mini bus and said, "ok, I'm a bit worried about you seeing my house. I don't want to ruin the image you have of us living in a castle...". And Kate said, "yeah I'm a bit apprihensive about everyone seeing our house" and Chris went, "it's funny how you call it the house and not the castle.." 10:45 a.m. - 2002-10-24 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
