onlyemma's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TV - such a great invention. My favourite channels? Parliament and QVC of course! Have you ever watched BBC Parliament? Me, my sister and my dad sometimes watch it, just for a laugh. When someone stands up to talk, we try and guess their name and we have 3 guesses. Then when the names comes up on the screen we mostly say something like, "Justin....Justin!? That's not a politicians name!" or, "Damn, I was thinking that name! Why didn't I say it?" and we'd curse ourselves for about 10 minutes after. If we got the name right we'd 'Woohoo!' and wait for the next person to stand up so we can have a crack at their name. Also, when we'd get fed up of Parliament, my dad would switch the channel to QVC and annouce, "I wonder what crap they're trying to sell us today!". And we'd watch that for another 15 - 20 minutes. And we'd laugh at the little fake gold rabbit earrings with crystals for eyes which are supposed to be magical and the woman who phones up and says she wore them and they cured her hernia. Then we'd laugh at Alison in her Salon who'd claim that every cream she tries on works miracles and you should hurry up and get it because and if you haven't phoned up by now you're in trouble because "there are queues on the phones for this fantastic product....just look at my hand where I used it, it looks and feels wonderful! And....mmmmm, it smells delicious too!". And we should probably use 'queue cut' because of course it's 'Limited stock'.
