quite a lot of kissing

I apologise, its been a while and I left that last entry on a bit of cliffhanger which Ill have to amend. No, I hadnt been abducted for two weeks, I have been busy doing lots of things that dont include writing an entry in here but have unfortunately been quite boring. But, before you burst with anticipation, my date went very well. And it led to two more dates since.

I want to keep my air of cool (yes I have one of those) so I wont go into too much detail, but despite reservations about Dominic being from work (Thorntons employ anyone), we actually have a lot in common. He likes to read and he loves writing and has written a few stories. So I was impressed; a boy who reads is a rare and wonderful thing. Anyway, he had half my heart after saying those three words that mean so much to me: I love reading; so things were bound to go well from there.

So we get on well and enjoy each others company, hence the following dates. I like how hes a gentleman and also how after he kisses me he looks a little bit drunk. I cant remember ever having that effect on someone, unless the person Im kissing is actually drunk. Its nice; it makes me feel like I have a powerful effect on him similar to that of, say, absinthe. But yes, we did indeed kiss as it appears I'm not opposed to such things on first dates, and as he likes reading I thought "why not?".

But Im in a funny place in my life right now where I dont want to get into a relationship. At first I felt a bit lonely being single, but it turns out that now I'm used to it I'm actually not too fussed. The thing is, once a relationship starts its got to end sometime and to be honest, I dont think my body could cope with that much Cherryade again just yet. Ive also got to give the supermarkets time to stock up on my favoured heart-break drink; so Im playing it by ear with Dominic. Hes happy with our status of friends who kiss, until I make up my mind or he gets fed up or visa versa (on a side note: a woman at work says versa visa which makes me laugh hysterically inside, though only crack a slight polite smile on the outside. Versa Visa Hilarious!), so technically Im still single but have a kissing contract with Dominic, which suits me fine. I always enjoy a good kiss.

But enough about kissing. I shall move on.

Tomorrow is my graduation ceremony. I think Im looking forward to it now but who knows, I change my mind so often I can never tell how I feel for sure. My main worry is going up on stage and falling over in my new shoes, so I suppose I dont have that much to worry about after all. I cant wait to see my friends though, and hopefully if seeing Tim again isnt like a kick in the stomach, I might end up having a jolly old time.

Since the last entry, I have also embarked on a few more driving lessons. I think my instructors trying not to give me a big head so doesnt say much, but Im excellent at driving. My gear changing is seamless. John let me drive to the hairdressers on Friday and it ruled; I pretended I was my mum when shes driving, all calm and collected. I felt a bit like I was her too. You know what its like when you feel like youre someone else, like if you looked in the mirror youd be them? I felt like that. I reverted back to feeling like me when I got to the hairdressers though, to get my giant fringe cut. That thing grows like bamboo (thats the fastest growing plant, by the way). Its a monster, once it took 20 minutes to cut and I read a whole magazine.

I also went to the church Christmas Fayre on Saturday, which was quite fun. I looked after my God son Jack and we invented a game where he lies down and I drag him around the floor of the community centre by his feet. He loved it; 2 year olds are amazing. He loves it when I drag him round, especially when hes in stuff like cardboard boxes and washing baskets. Then I went back to the Booths house and had a cup of tea and Jack ate a bit of cat food that I had to fish out of his mouth, and he dipped a spoon in and drank some water out of the cats bowl, which he seemed to enjoy.

That boy makes me laugh. I love it when he does random things and I always wonder what's going on in his little head. Yesterday he poked the hole in the knee of my jeans and said doggie.
